How many copies of ChitChat are distributed each month?+
ChitChat distributes up to 10,000 full-colour copies per zone, per month through coffee shops, restaurants, medical offices, salons, community centres, and other high-traffic local locations. Advertisers who choose more than one zone reach up to 10,000 additional copies per zone, per month.
Do I get online exposure with my print ad?+
Yes — every advertising package includes a dedicated business profile page on chitchatlocal.ca, a listing in our searchable directory, coupon listings, and a backlink to your website.
What advertising sizes are available?+
ChitChat Local offers three customer-facing ad sizes: the Standard Ad (1.875" × 3.25"), the Double Ad (3.75" × 3.25"), and the Large Premium Ad (7 5/8" × 1 7/8"). Every size is full-colour and includes the online business profile, directory placement, and coupon listing.
What are the advertising prices?+
Founding Advertiser (initial term) rates: Standard Ad $150/month, Double Ad $300/month, Large Premium Ad $450/month. Regular / renewal rates after the initial term: Standard Ad $175/month, Double Ad $350/month, Large Premium Ad $525/month. All prices are in Canadian dollars — GST is additional.
What contract terms are available?+
Customer-facing Founding / introductory terms are 6 months or 12 months only, paid upfront. Founding pricing applies only to that initial term — after it ends, the advertiser moves to the applicable regular rate.
What are the 6-month and 12-month Founding totals?+
6-month Founding totals: Standard Ad $900, Double Ad $1,800, Large Premium Ad $2,700. 12-month Founding totals: Standard Ad $1,800, Double Ad $3,600, Large Premium Ad $5,400. All prices are in Canadian dollars — GST is additional.
How does multi-zone advertising work?+
The first (base) zone uses the normal monthly price for the ad size you choose. Every additional zone is a flat $150/month, regardless of ad size. Distribution scales too: up to 10,000 copies per zone, per month.
What is the Featured Business Profile / Featured This Month?+
Featured Business Profile — $250 for one monthly feature (one issue). This is a one-month spotlight placement shown prominently on the main ChitChat Local website page. Subject to availability.
What is the Founding Advertiser Program?+
The Founding Advertiser Program is a special introductory program for early advertisers who want to support ChitChat Local as it grows in the community. Founding rates apply for the entire initial 6-month or 12-month term. After the term ends, advertisers move to the applicable regular rate.
Which cities does ChitChat publish in?+
We currently serve the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody), Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Richmond, Delta and Maple Ridge, with new city editions launching regularly.
